I really shouldn't be that surprised since from what I've heard of her YA novels, they sound like cute romances but I'm still surprised because there are so many YA novelists who have branched out into NA!

"Joss and Matt meet in their first year of college and the novel chronicles their friendship to love story during a seven year period." -- LOVE THIS PREMISE. Have you read the anthology My True Love Gave to Me? The first story by Rainbow Rowell does something similar and it's awesome.

"Whenever one of them breaks up with someone and the other one is unattached, they have "sorbet sex" to cleanse the palate." -- lol, NICE. That is such an evocative phrase too...

I tend to stay away from a lot of NA novels because I've not had good experiences with most in the past - there are a few exceptions of course - but now I'm seriously considering this book because I really do want to read more good NA books :O :O.Christina Reads YAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13583184608177224763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4122122426051336537.post-20740531209995780592015-01-30T12:30:29.339-06:002015-01-30T12:30:29.339-06:00So I read this synopsis and was like, nope, this d...So I read this synopsis and was like, nope, this doesn't sound like a me book. Then I read your review and it actually sounds really cute! Sounds like it was really well done. I think if I need a light, fun read I'll check this one out. Great review!! I love humor and great dialogue. I'm definitely gonna read this one!Jazmenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14218708787382167027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4122122426051336537.post-60171776070281597322015-01-28T06:57:00.684-06:002015-01-28T06:57:00.684-06:00I like this sound of this one. And I do want to read more in the college setting - I'll give this one a try!Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18339884453331050427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4122122426051336537.post-53987955048995507102015-01-28T01:35:57.122-06:002015-01-28T01:35:57.122-06:00Okay, I'll admit it, I was extremely skeptical...Okay, I'll admit it, I was extremely skeptical about this entire thing, but then I read that it spans seven years and I'm like "That's better". :) It reminds me of One Day by David Nicholls in that way actually (loved the movie, haven't finished the book). One Day actually begins with an almost one-night stand.

I haven't read a Liz Czukas book but I plan on changing that this year. The messed up relationship part really reminds me of One Day. I'm going to have to check this out, despite it being NA which I don't normally read, then again I don't "normally" read adult fiction either. Good review! :)

--AmberAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
