Waiting on Wednesday features upcoming releases and is hosted by Breaking the Spine.
This is our monthly post, where we pick books that are coming out in the next month that we just cannot wait for. That we're absolutely dying to read.
Pam's Picks:
There are three books coming out in November that I cannot wait for. I'm a little worried about how Champion is going to end. And Sentinel...Jennifer Armentrout better not let me down...Alex and Aiden better get their HEA. That's all I'm saying. But first up, The Fiery Heart! Bloodlines is one of my favorite series, I think even better than Vampire Academy series (which I absolutely love). I just can't wait until November 19th!!
Publisher: Razorbill, 438 pages
Expected Publication Date: November 19, 2013
From Goodreads:
In The Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the Alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her. . . .
But the struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there's still so much she must keep secret. Working with Marcus has changed the way she views the Alchemists, and Sydney must tread a careful path as she harnesses her profound magical ability to undermine the way of life she was raised to defend. Consumed by passion and vengeance, Sydney struggles to keep her secret life under wraps as the threat of exposure—and re-education—looms larger than ever.
Pulses will race throughout this thrilling fourth installment in the New York Times bestselling Bloodlines series, where no secret is safe.
And here are three book trailers. Pretty cheesy, but are Sydney and Adrian doing what I think they're doing? *Gasp*

It's a beautiful day for a war.
As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.
And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.
In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?
June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

I can't wait!!!!
Sheri's Picks:
In addition to all the great new books there are four young adult movie adaptations to be thankful for as well!
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, November 1
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, November 8
How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff, November 8
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, November 22
omg, I can't friggin believe it's only three weeks til The Fiery Heart! I feel like I spend half my life waiting for Richelle Mead's "next book" -- first with the Vampire Academy sequels and now Bloodlines! Aggghghhh. This is going to sound dramatic, but it's really the only series other than Harry Potter and The Hunger Games that makes me actually want to stay up til midnight the day of the release of the next book so I can download the eBook and stay up half the night reading. Excellent waiting on Weds!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you. I'm mad that I have to work on Tuesday otherwise I would just start reading from the moment I get up. I actually remember the other books fairly well but I still think I may reread them just because I love them so much. ~Pam
Deleteomg omg omg omg. I can't wait for Champion!!! I'm rereading Legend and Prodigy right now in preparation. So I haven't read any J. Armentrout... but I've heard such good things about her and I really want to read some of her stuff! Also the cover of Sentinel is so cool. And I am dying to see Catching Fire!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks so good!!! I freaked out when I saw the final trailer. In fact, I just went and rewatched it.... I'm going to fangirl like crazy when I go see it. Great picks for Nov!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to reread Legend and Prodigy too even though I remember them fairly well and both are on Recaptains. But I just don't want to miss anything! Marie Lu better not pull a Veronica Roth, I will be soooo angry! ~Pam
DeleteI'm so so so excited for Champion! Next week!!! *squeals*!!! Also, I've been meaning to read the Bloodlines series! I can't express how much I loved the VA series!
ReplyDeleteThis post is A+!
Karla @ Silver Readings
If you love VA series, you should definitely read Bloodlines. I actually think they're better. And yes, Champion, I can't wait but I'm really worried about a HEA. ~Pam
DeleteI can't wait for The Fiery Heart and Catching Fire the movie either! Hope they don't disappoint:)
ReplyDeleteEveline's Books
The Catching Fire trailer looks really good so if they stick close to the book, we should be fine. And Fiery Heart...love Sydney and Adrian! ~Pam

Doris @ Owl Always Be Reading
Me too, they're one of my favorite couples. ~Pam
DeleteI never got into Michelle Read's books. I actually recently picked up the first VA, but the size of the series intimidates me. I've been re-reading Ender's Game (it's been YEARS since I read it) before the movie comes out. And YAY for Catching Fire. Great picks!
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Ender's Game, I don't want to see the movie until I've read the book. I completely understand about the size of the VA series, but the books are easy reads so if you have time, you should read them sometime, I do recommend them. ~Pam
DeleteAwesome picks! The Fiery Heart, Sentinel and Champion are on my MUST buy list.
ReplyDeleteHere is My WOW
I'm so glad they're spaced out so I don't have to choose which one to read first! ~Pam
DeleteSo many great picks here! I'm especially looking forward to Fiery Heart and Sentinel! Dying to get my hands on both.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Sentinel comes out in a couple of days, can't wait to see how it all ends! ~Pam
DeleteI have a couple of friends that are going crazy over Fiery Heart and Sentinel so I hope you enjoy them when they come out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post!
Jenn @ Books and Swoons
It's definitely a good month. All three of these series are so good! ~Pam
DeleteAh shit. Champion comes out TUESDAY?! I should probably read Prodigy ASAP.
ReplyDeleteI want to reread both Legend and Prodigy so I probably won't be able to read Champion until later in the week. ~Pam
