Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books That Will Make You Swoon

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and the Bookish.

Pam's Choices:  This was such a tough topic because there are so many great swoony guys out there, but I focused on my favorite romantic couples.

1.  Embrace series by Jessica Shirvington.  Violet and Lincoln.  They go through so many obstacles and they love each other so much it hurts.  This is one of the few series I have sobbed while reading.

“Linc, I have no idea what you're talking about. I actually thought that was kind of unbelievable as far as kisses go." I was glad we were in the dark and he couldn't see me blushing.
He made a sound somewhere between a sigh and a growl of frustration. He pulled me in for a hug, which I fell into, feeling crushed. I had the strangest feeling we were stealing this moment and no matter how tightly I held on, it wouldn't help. Lincoln's next words were soft and perhaps not even meant for me, but they burned their way right into my soul.
"Did you ever think we would be anything other than unbelievable?”  From Embrace

2.  Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.  Hot alien Daemon and spunky Katy.  

“Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys.” From Obsidian

“Why are you such an ass?" The words came out before I could think twice.
"Everyone has to excel at something, right?"
"Well, you're doing a great job.” From Obsidian

“Kitten,” he growled roughly.
I kissed him softly, sliding my hands into his silky locks, letting the pieces slide through my fingers. I tasted in him my own rising desire, my own need and heartache. Thrilling. Frightening. I pulled back.
“Kitten,” he said again, voice strained. “You don’t get to do that and then stop. That’s not how it works.”
I stared at him, my breath stalling in my lungs.
“Not when you’re mine.” Daemon backed us up and slid down the wall, pulling me on his lap so I was straddling him. “And you’re mine.” From Onyx

3.  Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.  Alex and Aiden.  A forbidden love that is so right.

“I can’t keep pretending that I don’t want this – that I don’t want you. I can’t. Not after what happened to you. It thought… I thought I’d lost you, Alex, forever. And I would’ve lost everything. You are my everything.” From Deity

“Because I love you, we share each other’s problems. When we fight, we fight together. I’m going to be by your side no matter what, whether you like it or not. That’s what love is, Alex. You never have to face anything alone again. And I get what you’re saying. I don’t agree with it, but I will support you in any way I can.” From Deity

4.  Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare.  Just love Clary and Jace.  There are so many hilarious bantering moments between those two but I picked the sweet quotes.

“There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then.” From City of Glass

“And now I’m looking at you,” he said, “and you’re asking me if I still want you, as if I could stop loving you. As if I would want to give up the thing that makes me stronger than anything else ever has. 5.  Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare.  Will and Tessa (sorry Jem fans).

Reading your words, what you wrote, how you were lonely sometimes and afraid, but always brave; the way you saw the world, its colors and textures and sounds, I felt--I felt the way you thought, hoped, felt, dreamt. Sheri's Additions: I pretty much agree with Infernal Devices, Mortal Instruments, and Lux.  I would also include 

6. Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Rose and Dimitri.

7. For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund. Elliot and Kai
