Ok, I just finished reading Stone Cold Touch, the second book in the Dark Elements trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I love love love this series, but there is a serious love triangle in this book. I have to tell you, I have NEVER been torn before about two guys in a book. Usually there's a clear winner and everyone knows it and yes, you may love the other guy, but you know he doesn't stand a chance. But in this series, I love both guys. This has never happened to me before. And so I went online to find out when the next book will be published and I found out that there is a poll to determine who Layla ends up with. You have until November 11th to vote for Roth or Zayne and once the poll closes, JLA will see who won, and then she will start writing the last book. What????? I cannot believe it. I don't know if this is good or bad. If you've read Stone Cold Touch (and you HAVE to read it before you vote, no fair otherwise, I say), who would you vote for? Are you going to vote? What do you think about an author letting the readers decide? This is just crazy, crazy!! JLA said she's doing this because she can't decide between the two either. Gah!!! I don't know why, but this just stresses me out.
Here's the link.

Omg I seriously almost posted about this exact same concept today. It was on my schedule and everything and then I changed my mind at the last minute.
ReplyDeleteI think it's pretty cool that she's giving the choice to her readers, but also really scary. I'm Team Roth. But Zayne did make it hard through Stone Cold Touch. He's soooo nice and adorable and sexy and he needs to stop making this choice so hard! But I do love Roth more. You know how I always go for the bad guy. ;)
Like, this series would give me serious ulcers. There's no way I will ever go near it LOL. But I will be interested to see who "wins". I'm gonna predict Roth, since bad boys are usually more popular.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was such a great idea, but I haven't read the series yet. I just think it's good to let the majority decide, that way you're disappointing less people I guess. I think it will be Roth, whoever he is, because on a Facebook comment she posted almost 90% of people said Roth, haha.
ReplyDeleteThis is... an interesting way to go about things. It's going to suck if the poll is almost evenly split (which it seems like it might be if many are torn between the two). I won't have read these by Nov 11th but I kind of wish I could. Now I'm scared to become invested in two people.
