Stacking the Shelves (19)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!  It is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Pam's Weekly Haul

From NetGalley:
Witch Finder by Ruth Warburton:  Guy has to track down and kill a witch and he falls in love with her...I'm all over that.
Defy by Sarah B. Larson:  Girl disguised as a guard to protect a prince?  Sounds good to me!

Sheri's Bounty of Books

From the Library:
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie PerkinsI just finished Anna and the French Kiss and I need more.  The first in the series was the perfect blend of high school angst, first love, and overcoming personal insecurities plus it was set in Paris, France!

Bought:
Across A Star Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund, I loved the first book in this series, For Darkness Shows the Stars, because it was a wonderful retelling of Jane Austen's Persuasion but also because it made me think about the consequences of biological innovation!

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  6. I'm really excited to read Witch Finder. That cover is so fun. I actually just finished re-reading Lola and the Boy Next Door. Anna and the French Kiss is one of my ALL-time favorites. Lola's fun, too, but I don't have quite the same love for it. I still need to read For Darkness. I've been meaning to for forever! Great hauls this week!

  8. Lola is awesome! Not as good as Anna in my opinion, but still up there. Plus Anna and Etienne make a few good cameos in it, so I'm sure you'll love it. If only Isla would come out soon so I could get back into that world!
