Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Bookish Goals/Resolutions for 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and the Bookish.

1.   Finish the completed series I've started/bought.  There are nine completed series that I have either started or already bought and I need to finish those instead of starting so many new series.
2.   Write more book reviews.  I read a lot more books than I review.
3.   Write my reviews closer to the time I finish the book.  My book memory is horrible and if I don't write the review pretty much right after I finish the book, a lot of times I just never write it.
4.   Change up my words in reviews.  I feel like I say the same thing.  Over and over and over again.  I need to mix it up, choose different words.
5.   Read more slowly.  Sometimes I feel like I'm reading so fast because I'm just trying to get through the book to find out what happens or even to get to the next book.  I need to slow down, enjoy the book I'm reading more rather than just trying to read as fast as possible.
6.   Finish the library books I have checked out.  I keep renewing and renewing without reading most of them.  I need to read them.
7.   Update my blog with links to reviews on a regular basis.  Once a week, I need to add to my Reviews and Books Read, with links.

That's pretty much it!  What are your goals/resolutions for 2015?

  2. I'm horrible at finishing series, so I need to use that for a goal, maybe then I'll actually do it haha. I'm. really good at writing my reviews right after I finish a book, it's kind of a thing that I won't go on to another book until my review is wrote, I don't know why but that's what I've always done :)

  3. I feel like I need to mix up my words too. I had this as one last year, I will continue to try but it is sooo hard haha!

  4. I definitely know what you mean when you say read more slowly. I've been guilty of this before - less so recently though only because of my busy schedule. But I have definitely caught myself reading almost with the purpose of getting to the end and on to the next book and thought to myself that I need to slow down and enjoy the book I am currently reading, not always look to the next one!

  5. Finish some series and slow down. Good ones! I have so many series that I need to finish, but I just keep starting more. Fail. And I started slowing down this year and it's been really good. I feel like I've enjoyed the books more and actually remembered more about them since if I'm rushing, I tend to skim and miss things. Great goals! Hope you achieve them all in 2015!

  6. These are excellent goals, lady, and I'm right there with you! I need to write reviews much sooner after I finish the book (esp if it's an ARC I'm reading far ahead in advance). I think doing a few mini reviews help! And I too feel like I say the same things over and over. I definitely want to improve on my writing.

Happy New Year to you, and thanks for visiting my blog so often in 2014! <3
