Review:
After reading so many positive reviews of Winterspell, including Pam's, I knew I would eventually read it, and mentioned my interest to a friend who recommended that I start with the prequel.  I'm really glad that I did.  Summerfall is a fascinating short-story with interesting characters, a strong story, and rich descriptions. The basic story is that humans have too much power and want even more.  They fear what they don't understand about the faeries, and the faeries don't trust the humans - smart faeries.  The ending was unexpected and I can't wait to see how this story shapes Winterspell.

  1. I have heard really great things about this novella. I still have to read Winterspell and I didn't think of starting with this novella (despite that making total sense) but I think I might now! Glad you enjoyed it!
